Jaipur Music Stage 2025 continues its musical extravaganza with a soulful second evening!
Jaipur, February 1st, 2025 - After an electrifying opening night on the 30th of January that set the tone for the Jaipur Music Stage, the Jaipur Literature Festival continued its journey of soul-stirring melodies on its second day. Held at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur, the 3-day long Jaipur Music Stage comes to life each evening as the inspirational sessions of the day concludes. The first evening had two performances celebrating the timeless verses and songs of medieval mystics Amir Khusrau and Kabir Das. The Hazrat Amir Khusrau Project was brought to the stage by acclaimed performer Abhijit Pohankar while the baani of Kabir was musically rendered as a rock-opera by the renowned Dastaan LIVE.The second evening featured a range of stellar performances, including one by Kamakshi Khanna, who is known for her heartfelt lyrics and soothing melodies. To the Jaipur Music Stage , she brought a distinctive style, blending pop, R&B, soul, and folk traditions.Following her performance, Susheela Raman, renowned for her captivating voice and fusion of world music, Indian classical, and experimental sounds, took the stage alongside Sam Mills, a pioneering guitarist in cross-cultural music; Nathoo Lal Solanki, a 13th-generation maestro of the Nagada and Rajasthani folk traditions; and Chugge Khan, an acclaimed performer rooted in Rajasthani folk, Sufi, and Indian classical fusion. Together, they delivered a powerful blend of international and Rajasthani musical traditions, mesmerising the audience. The music stage drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, resonating with the energy and depth of their performance.
